We all need a little cheering up, and what better way than a nice pet story. Mine is about all of my goldfish! XD I started with a small tank and two fantail goldfish. One goldy with a little white on her tale named skipper, and a brown one named uno. I had oringinally only wanted fancy goldfish, but one day my brother came home with a little common gold with black tips on his fins goldfish. My brother didnt want to give him to me, but when he started not cleaning the fish bowl i took him, and named him zippy. One day we were at wet pets, getting food for my many pets, and i happened to pass the feeder tank and my mom (who looooves goldies) noticed a beautiful comet. He had his fin up and was being active. I couldnt let him get eaten so i bought him. He is orange on the top with a white "belly", and now he has gotten black spots on his fins and "cheeks". He was pretty big and i named him GIGANTOR. I decided i shouldnt go near the feeder tank because my tank is getting pretty full. Of course i broke my promise, next time we went and and ended up with a beauty named titan. He is black/brown on top and cream on the bottom. By now i had some money saved up and decided to get a new tank. I went on craigslist, a bargainers best friend, and got a new tank, including stand, plants, and filter. When i go to pick it up and we tell the lady i was using it for goldfish she says," oh i have some goldfish we dont want anymore would you like them?" She shows me them and i was like omg these are 40 dollar fish! What shocked me more was that she had been keeping them in a tropical tank, with tropical fish! The biggest one was a calico (im not sure what breed but shes about the size of a tennis ball not including her tail wich is long and gorgeous so i named her princess (later i figured out that she also bosses around the tank like a princess XD). Another one was simaler but a little smaller with completely black eyes that looked like buttons so i named her button. The 3rd one is some kind of special breed with out the fin on top and a round head so i named him norman. hes white with orange on the top. On a side note, why would someone try to create fish breeds like that, he cant swim right because hes deformed! ok back to the story. So i set up the tank with all my little babies and it has been that way until this Wednesday when i was sick and my mom had to pick up bird and gerbil food so i went along and of course had to go to the fedder tank. there werent as many, but there were a few good looking ones so i got to my mom and ask her to come look and she was like,"ok but we cant get anymore until the tank completely settles"(this was because the filter hadnt been working and we just fixed it so the tank hadnt resettled yet). And of course as soon as she saw them she was sold on two of them. A black one, witch i named oscar, And a white one with a red cap and red in its dorsal fin. I wish i could save them all but thats not possible. They are all doin fine now, and id love to hear your stories! Thanks!
